Glorifier Display

We designed a back bar glorifier that could also be used by bar staff to present full bottles for sale with shot glasses.

Client

White Horse Whisky

White Horse Scotch Whisky is a fine matured blend containing at its heart the unique flavor of Lagavulin, a single malt whisky from the Islay in the Hebrides. It is this individuality, the quality of its ingredients and the care with which it is made that make White Horse a fine old Scotch Whisky of rare and enjoyable Distinction.

White Horse delivers a smooth and distinctive taste, the result of an intriguing blend of crisp grain, clean malt and earthy peat. White Horse was the Blended Whisky of the Year in Jim Murray’s 2007 Whisky Bible.

Our Task

Task

We were asked to design and develop a back bar glorifier that could also be used by staff to present full bottles for sale with shot glasses, to be consumed at tables.

The units consisted of injection moulded “horse shoes” that angled back from the acrylic and metal base surface for back bar display, and could be placed flat within the unit for storage.  For serving with shot glasses, the horse shoe slotted over the neck of the bottle, with the shot glasses balanced in each of the circular spaces.  The engineering of this unit required significant inertia and centre of gravity testing, to ensure the set of full shot glasses could still balance as the volume of the bottle contents decreased.

This product was for use in local markets in Brazil and Russia, so we produced full manufacturing drawings for tender locally.  In addition, we produced two prototypes to accompany the drawings.
